INFORMATION ABOUT AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
The national scholarships at the Regional Symposium will be $2,000 for first place, $1,500 for second place, and $1,000 for third place winners.
The teacher of the first place winner will receive a certificate and an award for $500.
The first- and second-place WJSHS winners will get to present orally their research at the National Symposium and compete for scholarships. The first and second place finalists at the Regional level will be competing on equal footing at the National Symposium.
The third-place winner will be invited to present his or her research in a non-competitive poster session at the National Symposium. Student attendees at the National Symposium will select 10 top-place finishers and a "student’s choice" winner of the poster session. Large medallion ribbons will be awarded with no cash prizes.
The fourth- and fifth- place regional winners will also get to attend the National Symposium.
The first-place winner among the WJSHS poster presenters will also get to attend the National Symposium.
